Synergy of sodium,  potassium and magnesium

 In the human body, sodium is found mainly in extra- cellular fluids, while potassium and magnesium are found predominantly within the body’s cells.  When too much sodium is consumed, the concentration in extra- cellular fluids rises, with the effect that water migrates from the inter- cellular fluids into the extra- cellular fluids until the concentration of salts on both sides of the cell membrane equalises.  This process is properly termed ´osmosis´ and is well documented.  If potassium and magnesium are consumed in correct proportion to sodium, an imbalance will not develop.  Oedema and higher blood pressure are less likely to occur.  If osmosis as described above is not to occur then salt for human consumption should have a chemical composition similar to that of the inter- and extra- cellular fluids of the human body, thus reducing the risk of mineral imbalance and mineral deficiency considerably.  This is one of the guiding principles determining the chemical composition of Life Salt during the manufacturing process.

 Sometime, all salts should be like Life Salt

 No foreign substances whatsoever are mixed with Life Salt.  In addition to the unique, wholesome and beneficial chemical composition of the salt, the special flavour of Life Salt has been preserved, and it is this flavour, which has won universal acclaim.  This important attribute is due to unique natural resources of the geothermal area on the Reykjanes Peninsula and the simple and natural based manufacturing process of the Life Salt.

Unlike conventional salt, using a greater quantity of Life Salt will not prove harmful, as the chemical composition is always in the right proportion with the body’s chemistry.  A double portion of Life Salt is not necessarily the equivalent of one portion of regular salt in regard to its effect on the body, thanks to its excellent composition.  It is, therefore, reasonable to say that sometime all salts scould be like Life Salt.
